The cover is a handmade silk-screen printing, where else can you find a mind altering, meditative, brilliant, eastern influenced hippie music wrapped with so much care! The record is really quite - which is normally hard for me to take - but with this one I do care to listen and I have a peaceful and interesting time with this record.

Lamp of The Universe is a cosmic hippy acid folk/psychedelic one-man project
of Craig Williamson (known also from the heavy/stoner rock band Datura).
This fellow plays all the instruments also on this second release by
L. O. T. U. This album has gained a lot of good response from the psychedelic
underground, and I can clearly see why. There's a lot of emotion and even
transcendental message of love in the home-recorded songs of Mr. Williamson.

You might get the picture of what's going on just looking at the track
titles. The acoustic "Freedom to Godliness" starts the album with its
celestial, tranquil way. Really beautiful vocals on this one. "Resonance"
continues on the same line, but this time we also get to hear some sitar.

Probably *the* best album I've heard in recent times
is Lamp Of The Universe's "The Cosmic Union". Unlike
many others who go for heavy one chord jamming, Craig
Williamson has chosen a different path. The music is
lush and light, with sitars, occasional fuzz, tablas
and organ, but the music has an amotional weight which
makes it rich and textured. There's always something
more to "The Cosmic Union", always another door to
open. The music is free, not unlike S.T. Mikael's best
moments. It's loving and simply brilliant music!
