After spending five or so years garnering a huge cult following by spearheading a neo-hippie renaissance and feeding fans on a strict diet of cosmic psych rock in the form of underground cassette tapes, the Ozrics finally decided to surface in 1989, with their first official label release, "Pungent Effulgent". The opening track on the album is one of the few in the entire Ozric repertoire to include vocals. Gatefold cover, includes 6 bonus tracks taken from the 1989 cassette "The Bits Between the Bits" and 2 bonus outtakes from the period.
